Our Mooloolaba SLSC Junior Activies are designed to ensure children aged 5 to 13 years have fun at the beach, while participating in lessons that will give them a pathway to becoming a fully rounded participant in both surf lifesaving and sport.
Our Nipper season starts on Sunday 19 September 2021 and programs are held every Sunday until early March 2022, providing programs on Mooloolaba Beach across approximately 22 weekends!
Each Sunday, the program runs from 8.00am until 10.45am. Younger age groups (Under 6 & 7s) finish earlier at 9.15am.
For our 2021/2022 Season, children must be 5 years old as of 30th September 2021

Lifesaving is something for the whole family to get involved in and there are many supporting roles that you can play as a parent of a child involved in Junior Activities and is an amazing activity for growing a child’s confidence, knowledge and skills in the beach environment.
As Nippers progress through the various age groups, they will undergo lessons in wading, running, swimming, board paddling and lifesaving skills including working towards resuscitation and first aid.

Surf Life Saving is a source of fun, enjoyment, health and wellbeing for all who choose to participate. In order to show commitment to the safety and welfare of members and others who engage with the association, Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) has adopted the Blue Card Screening Policy. It has been created to protect all SLSQ individual members who are under 18 years of age from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury, exploitation and abuse (including sexual abuse) while under the care and conduct of any Surf Life Saving leader, trainer, age managers, team manager, coach or JAC committee & water safety officials .
It is a requirement that all the above positions over the age of 18 must hold a ‘Blue Card’ or exemption notice before they start volunteering in any area.
