Red and Yellow. It’s the core of what we do.

We’d like to remind our community to please stay safe when swimming at our beaches.

Our Mooloolaba SLSC volunteer Lifesavers patrol our beach every weekend and on Public Holidays from the September school holidays until the last weekend in April.

Patrol hours are from 7.00am to 5.00pm, with extended hours until 6.00pm throughout the busy Christmas period. Lifeguards patrol the beach at all other times.

Some reminders for your own safety:

  • always swim between the red and yellow flags
  • check beach conditions before swimming
  • learn beach safety rules at Surf Life Saving Queensland website.

You can view patrol times and locations for all our beaches via the Beachsafe website.

Please stay safe on our beaches.

Celebrating International Women's Day 2025 – Despite Alfred’s Best Efforts! This Saturday, we had planned to celebrate International Women’s Day 2025 with an all-female patrol of incredible women. Unfortunately, Alfred had other plans (thanks, Cyclone Alfred!), so we’ll be rescheduling our celebration. 🌀But that doesn’t stop us from recognizing and appreciating all the amazing women in our community! 💖💜💪🫶🫶Here’s a throwback to last year’s all-women’s patrol – a reminder of the strength, dedication, and passion these women bring to lifesaving. 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏿‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋🏽‍♀️Stay safe, and we’ll see you on the beach soon! 🌊✨ #IWD2025 #WomenInLifesaving ... Dear members, visitors and locals,I am hopeful that the Sunshine Coast, including Mooloolaba SLSC, appears to have avoided the most severe impact of Tropical Cyclone Alfred. However, the latest forecasts indicate that the region may experience heightened weather conditions this evening and into tomorrow morning. In accordance with directives from Surf Life Saving Queensland, Mooloolaba SLSC will remain closed tomorrow. This closure includes the cancellation of all scheduled patrols and club training activities. The safety of our members and the public remains our paramount concern. I recognize these precautionary measures may cause inconvenience and test everyone's patience; however, they are essential to mitigate potential risks associated with the forecasted weather. To that end, we are actively monitoring the situation and will communicate any updates or changes to the SLSQ directives as they become available. Your cooperation and understanding during this time are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to resuming normal club activities soon!Sincerely,Trent RobinsonMSLSC President ... See MoreSee Less
