We are so very proud of these Under 14 Mooloolaba Nippers, having just returned from their camp on the Gold Coast, and now graduated with their Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC).Our annual SRC Camp marks the culmination of their Nipper journey and is a great way to transition from Nippers into Cadets.A week packed full of learning valuable skills, with a special visit to the Westpac Rescue Chopper and POLAIR base. These Under 14s have returned home as fully qualified lifesavers and will now join a patrol team, keeping our community safe on our beach.Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) is a fantastic opportunity to develop vital lifesaving skills including surf awareness, aquatic rescues, radio operations, and CPR. To be eligible, participants must be 13 years old and able to swim 200 meters in under 5 minutes. If you’d like to gain your SRC and join our club as volunteer patrol member, visit our website for information.www.mooloolabaslsc.com.au/education@mooloolaba_nippers @thesurfclubmooloolaba @thesurfclubmooloolaba #lifesaving #mooloolabanippers @lifesavingqld @lifesavingsunshinecoastWestpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service Queensland

It has been a successful first few weeks for our Nipper Age Managers with the launch of our new SLSA/SLSQ initiative – The Nipper App!A tool designed for a more seamless sign-in & sign-out on the beach, enhancing the tracking and management of nipper attendance, ensuring the safety and well-being of all members in a secure, hazard-free environment. This technology of course comes at a cost, so we’d like to thank Cam from our local Officeworks Warana for helping us out with some great deals on our Samsung tablets. @officeworks @lifesavingqld @lifesavingsunshinecoast @slsaustralia #mooloolabanippers @mooloolaba_nippers @samsungau 📷Our Junior Activities President Jason, at Officeworks with Cam📷 Mooloolaba Nippers at beach sign on

This Saturday, September 28 is Nickelodeon’s World Wide Day of Play! To celebrate, we’re daring everyone, whether you’re 2 or 102, to disconnect from your devices and reconnect with family, siblings and friends through play. To unplug and enjoy the sunshine. To get up, get out and go play! There’s no better place to do that than Mooloolaba Beach...said our Mooloolaba Nippers 🙂NickelodeonNickelodeonAustralia 10 play #worldwidedayofplay The Surf Club Mooloolaba

Ever wondered what it takes to become a Mooloolaba Nipper? Before the start of the season each Nipper is required to complete a Preliminary Skills Evaluation, designed to ensure each child demonstrates a standard of competence. Evaluations include a pool swim and beach session, with varying assessments for each age category. Here is a little snapshot of our first Beach Evaluation Day 2024. We hope you enjoy😊#mooloolabanippers Surf Life Saving Sunshine Coast Surf Life Saving Queensland The Surf Club Mooloolaba

Go our Mooloolaba Beachies! Our talented young sprinters have made us proud at the recent World Life Saving Championships, competing in the Open Age group category against older and more experienced athletes. This invaluable experience will strengthen their future performances and boost their confidence.🏃♂️Paul Boland secured 7th place in the Beach Sprint final, an incredible achievement at this early stage of his career.🏃♀️Lara Davis, new to our club and Beach Sprinting, having come from the track, raced her way to 3rd in the B final and 11th in the World. Lara looked stronger each time she raced as her confidence grows.🏃♀️Long term Mooloolaba Beachie, Kiera Bascombe reached the quarterfinals in the sprint and the top 25 in Flags, again proving her resilience.Their combined efforts earned vital points for our club. Congratulations to these hard-working athletes. #legends @mooloolabaslscsurfsports The Surf Club Mooloolaba #beachsprints #lifesaving
